Problem in surfing

Hello,
uninstalled a few things from laptop and since then the applications are not opening,likes and comments on facebook are not happening...i hav windows xp installd...can u please tell me
which softwares or programs to download for proper functioning of facebook and other sites...

I would try a Windows restore.
