I've got a Sony Vaio VGN-FE31H laptop for 4 years now.
working still with XP home.
It looks like the computer is infected and after one day trying to get rid of the virus/worm/trojan I decided to do a first system recovery after 4 years.
Sadly the "VAIO recovery tool" doesn't start .
just a pop-up appear saying one time that another program is using it, another time that the state of the partition cannot be recoverd (roughly translated. original language is german)
even F10 or altF10 while booting doesn't work.
also i cannot start the autorun.exe for the recovery partititon with the explorer.
(antivir is off, internet disconnected, no other programs are running)
I haven't got a DVD, the factory settings are only in the recovery partition.
what can I do? i ran out of ideas
