To answer your question it is required that we know two terms viz. "Plenum rated cable" and "Cat 5".
Plenum rated cable has a special insulation that has low smoke and low flame characteristics.
Category 5 cables (Cat 5) is a twisted pair cable for carrying signals. This type of cable is used in structured cabling for computer networks such as Ethernet.
