<urgent> problem in the DVD

Hey. somebody please help me. look, my DVD drive shows name as CD drive and it doesn't read any kind of CD or DVD. it says "please ! insert CD or DVD in the drive e:\


hope somebody will help me solve the problem.

Hang in there......

....so when did it start doing this? Machines do fail. If the cd/dvd plays n another machine, and not your laptop/pc, then drive has failed, or optical eye needs cleaning....
