I have a Dell desktop with Windows XP and after April 8th I removed Microsoft Essentials and Downloaded the Free version of Avast and I believe that it ALSO loaded BING on my pc?
I have been with Google Chrome for quite a while and still like it!
I can NOT stand the BING and now it locks me out to read and view the news about the children found in Utah.
I have HAD IT!
I want BING out!!!
What can I do to get it out?
Even when I 'click' on to my Google chrome thumb nail it STILL COMES UP BING!!!
Help!???

Hello,

Try this 1

1) Open Chrome. Enter the URL as given below

chrome://settings/ --> Press Enter.

2) Google Chrome "Settings" will be opened.

Now at the left side, click on "Extensions" --> Look for "Bing" and click on the

"Delete Icon" placed next to "Enable" to delete it.

3) Now click on "Settings" found at the left side --> Look for "On startup" -->

Click on "Set pages" --> Remove "Bing" from it --> Click on OK.

Good Luck
