i am trying to change the colour of a cell based on the value of two other cells in Excel 2010.

for example
if R1 is the same value as C6 how do i change the formating in cell R6 so that the shading is a different colour?

R6 already has a formula in it so i am hoping to do this using conditional formating

shopkeeperrob,Good morning.

Try to use it.

--> Select R6
--> Conditional formating
--> use formula =R1=C6
--> choose your layout/colours

Is it what you want?
