My proxy server is not responding,

I tried to download a PDF file and and was prompt to download Acrobat reader in order to open the PDF, everything seemed to freeze after the download and now my internet settings is off. My WIFI connection is listed as available but when I try to click on the internet it tells me 1. my proxy servier is not resoonding, 2. make sure my firewall settings arent blocked, 3. ask your administrator for help.
Any suggestions?

Perhaps you downloaded and installed some malware instead of the Acrobat reader program. This ploy is a common way to infect computers.

I suggest you do an malware scan and change your password using another computer.
