I AM USING HP COMPAG -nc6320 WINDOW 7 it work on usb mouse even the touch pad when start up booting complete and the system will ask me to enter my acount password the touchpad will work well after the psswd it still work 4 like 3min then a sign come up at the middle of the screen a mouse crose with read line and a sound at the same time ,but if i start up using sefty mode it will work well well

perhaps you need to back-out any updates to the mouse pad drivers.
