The given error code and message can be used by Dell Technical Support to help diagnose the problem.

Do you want to continue testing?

You probably need a new hard disk . If you order one from Dell it will contain a new copy of Windows. I suggest you contact them.

As a home user you do not have the tools needed for data recovery if the drive is NOT seen by Windows. Some people have reported that Linux will sometimes have the ability to read some files in cases like this. This would require access to a Linux desktop machine and advanced Linux knowledge.

Good Luck

Hi there,

Unfortunately, what xpcman says may be true. The drive seems to have failed. If you have warranty, I recommend you to contact the reseller. If you have valuable information, you could remove the drive and attach it to another PC. Check if it is visible there. Linux Live CD may give you enough access to copy your data. It is worth the try.

Hope this helps.
