Yesterday, I tried putting an additional ram which did not fit the slot while the 2 working ram is still seated. And when I start the computer, the fans are running, leds are on but it has 3 beeps and no display on monitor, I tried reseating each ram and still got 3 long beeps in every slot I put it. I tried cleaning the ram, dusting the slot and still nothing. I dont what else to do, i have no idea what is causing this problems :(

I just reread your first post and wonder whar you mean by "I tried putting an additional ram which did not fit the slot"? If the new stick does not fit then how did you get it in?

Are you using the correct type of RAM?
Did you force it in?

I fear you may have broken the motherboard if this is what you did.

You have still not said if it works with only the original RAM installed in their original slots.

Hi Mze0,

Try removing the new RAM. If it works its a faulty stick of RAM.

Hello,
whether you may not seat the RAM properly in the slot...
Did you seat your new RAM in the slot?
