You can always use an external USB keyboard until you can install a replacement internal keyboard.\

try hitting the shift button 5 times real quick and see if your sticky key setting is on. turn off if it is.

Each laptop model has a different procedure. I suggest you download the Maint Instructions from the manufacturer.
