Of won't work

Hello,
My gateway desktop keeps saying preparing automTic repair then it says diagnosing your pic then it goes back to preparing yautomatic repair.. It keeps going back and forth and never does anything else. Help me please

Is it possible to boot into "safe mode" using F8?

I can't get past the screens I mentioned. I left for work and when I got home the same screens were there. I just unplugged it because it won't shut off otherwise

That does not irk. It just keeps dying the same thing. I left for ore yesterday and hen I can home 10 hours later, it was till doing it. I unplugged it because it won't shut down. As soon as I plug it back in, it goes immediately to the same screens.

This looks like a hard disk issue. I suggest you consult a technician.
