Hello,

I have broadband at home which i connect to with my laptop's. I want to know if I can connect my desktop (which does not have wireless) to my wireless internet through a spare D'LINK router I have.

MY desktop is not near a phone line therefore i cannot plug it in.

I was told that i could use my D'LINK router to connect my Desktop to my wireless modem for the internet that i currently have at home but i dont know how to do that. Help please.

It's much easier to just buy a USB wireless adapter for your desktop.

Some Wireless routers can be reprogrammed via custom "firmware" to function as a receiver of the wireless signal from your current wireless router. The geek index for this mod is very high and it's not recommended for the novice user.

Good Luck
