Dvd set - one disc plays the other does not

I have a two disc dvd set. Disc one will not play on any pc dvd drive (tried all 4 computers in the house. Different companies and settings but all will not play disc one but will play disc two. Both discs play in a normal dvd player. Any suggestions.

Were the disk burnt, or purchased?

It's a purchased set.

IS the second DVD actually a blueray maybe?
