Hi Lauramcjk,
Are there any sounds coming from the PC? If not, maybe there is no power coming to the laptop. Disconnect power cable and battery and hold the power button for 20 seconds. Reconnect the power cable and try to boot again. Any changes?
If not, you should seek help from a technician in order to investigate why the PC is not booting. There may be several reasons: motherboard problem, power port problem, power button problem, etc.
