Creative mp3 problems

Hello,
I have a creative zen vision m mp3 player.
My computer, running windows xp, has suddenly stopped recognising the creative when I plug it in.
The creative still plays fine, and can be charged through the adaptor, I just can't link it to the computer.
Have tried cleaning the mp3 in safe mode but to no effect.
Any ideas?

try connecting the mp3 player on another pc format it and try to use it again on urs
