its pre-planned hack attack which try to intrude in system. once its entered in system it will stop network data transfer and internet will be not available untill next restart. its a type of virus.
What action if any is needed to protect system?

hi,
formatting a computer should be the last recourse.
install an antivirus to remove any threat.
can you plz suggest a reliable antivirus..i hav used Macafee and kaspersky..m facing problem in both of them..
salam,

the message that you've got is not dangerous, it is due to the firewall of the kaspersky..

google the msg that u got and u will see it is not a big deal.
