Hello,

A few days ago, my computer was infected with the System Security virus. I read a few forums about removal, and I think I removed the virus. I think I've removed the virus because I can now operate ALL and ANY of the programs in my computer.

The method that I chose to remove the virus was MANUALLY. I did not use a independent virus removal program. The manual method that I used required me to rename the System Security program folder and eventually delete it. ALSO (and this may be where the problem is), I had to remove some files from the Windows Registry.

Now, my problem is the internet. I can open my browser and connect to most websites. However, I cannot log-in or sign-in to any webpage. For instance, I cannot sign-in to Gmail to check my email.

Anyone have any ideas about this one? Thank you so much in advance.

Phill
