Hello, I have an e-macine that I bougt in Oct 2009. I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. My dvd drive will not work unless I go to device manager delete them and then re-boot the computer. Then when I shut the computer down for the night they will not work the next day without doing this all over. Sometimes I will have to deleted them 2 or 3 times before they will work.

Ill recommend you to make a clean installation of windows 7 on your system, then if the issue persist you can refer to Faq and have the provided instructions applied:
