DVD/CD-ROM drive doesn't work Solved/Closed

Question

Hello folks,
I don't know how does it start,actually..
I use PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-217..My pc hasn't been a year..
It's unable to write any DVD,and maybe CD too..
I check in divice manager..and it says:
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
if uninstall and reinstall the device can fix this problem??

hi there,

follow these steps to solve this issue:

open run>press start+r

then type regedit

browse to this location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>

SYSTEM>

CurrentControlSet>

Control>

Class>

{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}>

search for any of these:

UpperFilters
LowerFilters
UpperFilters.bak
LowerFilters.bak

if available any of them just right click and delete

after deleting

reboot your system

I couldn't find UpperFilters.bak and LowerFilters.bak, so I just delete the rest of two..
And..It works.. ^_^
Actually,I want to know why? what make this problem?
