How do I fix a problem with my computer not c

Hello,

My computer is connected to the internet but wont go online. I followed Pacmans instructions for someone else but mine had no ticks to get rid of. Everyone else that uses my wireless have no problems. It was ticking itself off line as well but that seems to have cleared itself. If I turn the wireless off then on it will connect but if I close eplorer then I am back to square one. It is using windows vista (which I personally dont like) It is becoming very frustrating!!
