No f keys please help!

Hello, when i turn on my toshiba laptop it says "Reboot and select proper Boot device" and so i looked up on how to fix it, and you fix it by pressing f2 but on my laptop but the thing is that i dont really have f2 keys all i have for f2 is the symbol of lowering my brightness what do ?.

I suspect your hard disk has failed.

When you turn on your laptop, before it goes into the main screen the f2 key is there to go into the bios. To check your bios, restart your computer and repeatedly press f2.
