Hello,
Please help me urgently.
The accident occurred last night when I was wiping a HDD for a friend without adequate security on my part and before I knew what I had done I hade wiped out first 'few' sectors of my own, so when I try to access to the disk, the windows shows "the drive in disk is not formatted, do you want to format it now?"
what shoul I do to recover the "not formatted" disk without losing files on it?

I know format will make my files disappear, but I have no idea, want to cry : (

early reply is highly appreciated!!

dear, don't cry.
what you should do now is keeping it untouched, no format, no write.
use data recovery ware to restore files from the RAW disk , as you call "not- formatted disk", after you backup all files from the disk, you format it, you will cure it.
if you don't have recovery software, go to this post
http://ccm.net/forum/affich 78555 recover lost files
and find the way to get free data recovery software.

good luck to you ~~~
