Ronaldo Created a YouTube Channel and Broke the Platform's Record Within an Hour and a Half

The Portuguese football has finally decided to launch his own YouTube channel, becoming the fastest to reach one million subscribers.

Many singers, actors, politicians, and athletes have YouTube channels with hundreds of thousands or even millions of subscribers, making competition among the top ten most popular channels intense. The most popular channel, with 313 million subscribers, belongs to MrBeast. However, another important metric is the subscriber growth rate after a channel's creation, and in this regard, football star Cristiano Ronaldo has amazed everyone.

The famous Portuguese footballer launched his own YouTube channel on August 21. It took him just 55 minutes to reach his first 100,000 subscribers, and within an hour and a half, he surpassed one million subscribers. This marks the best start for a new channel on the video service. A video him showing off his one million subscriber plaque was uploaded on the same day, it is almost certain that Ronaldo had already been given the plaque before he even created his channel in anticipation of his rapid journey to one million. 

"The wait is over... My YouTube channel is finally here! SIUUUbscribe and join me on this new journey." Ronaldo wrote on Instagram. His channel, called "UR Cristiano," already features a couple dozen videos of him and his family. In one video, he shows off a gold plaque with a "play button" awarded by YouTube for surpassing one million subscribers. He wrote, "A gift for my family. Thanks to all the SIUUUbscribers!"

But Ronaldo's rapid rise on YouTube didn't stop there. His channel soon surpassed Lionel Messi's in the number of subscribers on the platform. At that time, Messi had just over 2.35 million subscribers, while at the time of writing this article the channel has over 30 million subscribers. With 636 million subscribers on his Instagram, it will not be surprising to see this number to continue to grow as more people become aware of his new YouTube channel. We could even expect Ronaldo to continue to break YouTube records and become the fastest to reach 100 million subscribers. 

Ronaldo's new channel will be another source of revenue and marketing for one of the worlds richest sportsmen. His YouTube revenue could quickly generate millions of dollars.
