Do other devices using this router connect OK?
If you are using Windows XP you might check to see if a "proxy Server" has been added to your configuration by malware.

Yes, my computer, tablet, phone and tv are all connected without any problems. It wouldn’t connect to the WiFi in my sons house either strangely enough. I don’t know much about computers at all so any hawks I can get I am extremely grateful for :). Thanks
