Trying to fix it

Hello,
My pc doesn't show any display in the monitor also on keyboard and . Before this happen i installed a new fan when putting it "wrongly". When testing it something smelled so i immediately turned off the pc. What would be the possible problem in this case?

burned out motherboard or power supply.
