In my Java mobile, Samsung Duos (SM B313 E), when I check "All Tracks" in "Music Library", I get "No Files" although there are audio files in the Memory Card which can be played individually (only from Memory Card).

This never used to happen earlier. All the audio files in the Memory Card used to show up in "All Tracks" of "Music Library"

Well regardless of how new it is, that model has 16kb of ram. Thats 16K, not GB. As I said in the initial diagnoses, you dont have the RAM for all of the songs

You're right. I pasted only six songs on a new Memory Card and inserted it into the phone. To my surprise, in Music/Music Library/All Tracks I found all the six songs. I was able to make playlists too.

As this phone has only 16kb RAM, if the Memory Card exceeds 16 kb, the files won't show up in Music/Music Library/All Tracks. Is that correct?

Yes. it can only hold 16K of data at any one time. That includes the memory it needs to keep track of what it is doing. So, probably 14K is usable!

So this isnt a java problem, it is memory problem with your phone. How old is it?

Yes. In My Files/Memory Card/Music I can find all the MP3 files and also play them one at a time.

But in Music/Music Library/All Tracks I get "No files".

In Music/Music Library/All Tracks/Playlists I get "No files".

In Music/Music Library/All Tracks/Playlists/Most played I get "No files".

In Music/Music Library/All Tracks/Playlists/Recently played I get "No files".

In Music/Music Library/All Tracks/Playlists/Recently added I get "No files".

In Music/Music Library/All Tracks/Playlists/Quick list I get "No files".

In Music Library, whenever I click Albums, Artists or Genres, the phone hangs for 2 minutes and shuts down. After I restart it, I get "searching network".

I tried to see if it worked with a different memory card.

I took a different, new memory card, pasted a few audio files, and inserted it into the phone.

The result was the same. In Music/Music Library/All Tracks I got "No files". But in In My Files/Memory Card/Music I could find all the MP3 files and also play them one at a time.

What could be the problem and what could be done to solve it?
