How to silence repetitive notifications ?

Hello,

on my iPhone when a friend sends me TEN messages in less than one minute it is very annoying, but I don't want to silence the first notification, only the nine following ones.

A lot of people do that and I don't want to silence them, but only one notification is way sufficient.

Anybody knows how to do that ? (Same question with Instagram though)

Hello, unfortunately I don't think it's possibly to allow notifications for the first message and then not for subsequent messages. You can change the type of notification you receive (no sound) and just a pop up.
