I am testing my xmltv channel list to ensure that everything is working correctly. How do Iknow if the EPG data is displaying accurately and how can I import the XMLTV data into the viewer?

Hi,

To import the XMLTV data into the viewer, you first need to ensure your XMLTV file is formatted correctly and contains accurate EPG (Electronic Program Guide) data.

Most viewers or media players have an option to load or import XMLTV files, typically found in the settings or EPG section. Navigate to this option and select your XMLTV file for import. Once imported, check if the EPG data is displaying accurately by reviewing the channel guide or program list. Look for correct program names, start times, and end times to verify that the data matches your channel schedule.

If the data isn't displaying correctly, there may be issues with your XMLTV file, such as incorrect formatting or missing data fields.

To import XMLTV data into a viewer like Kodi, NextPVR, or TV-Browser, first obtain the XMLTV file and unzip it if needed. In the viewer's settings, look for an EPG or TV Guide section, and choose XMLTV as the source. Then, provide the path or URL to the XMLTV file. After saving, refresh or update the guide to load the data. Each software may have slightly different steps, but the process is generally the same.
