THE ISSUE: No sound comes out of this TV. Not from the speaker, not from the headphone jack.

WHAT I'VE TRIED: I originally assumed it was a blown out speaker or something easy to fix, so I checked the connection to the board, I checked the wires for bad/non-existent connections, I even tried touching the wires of another speaker to the original ones connections. Nothing. Plugging in a pair of headphones didn't seem to work either. Not even static came through. I also checked to see if there was a setting preventing sound, like the mute button or something, but that wasn't it either.

WHAT I MIGHT END UP TRYING: I could try to find a bad connection with a voltimeter (If I can figure out how to use it). Or if the problem exceeds my rudimentary repair skills I'll just have to bite the bullet and pay someone to fix it.

Hi,

Make sure the correct audio output source is selected and that all cables are correctly connected to your TV. You can try disconnecting and reconnecting the cables to be sure. Check also if the issue occurs with other inputs or sources.

Otherwise, turn off your TV and unplug it, then press the STANDBY-ON button twice and wait 5-10 minutes before plugging it back.

If the issue persists, try resetting your TV to factory settings. Press the SET-UP button on your remote and go to INITIALIZE > YES.

If there is still no sound, then an hardware issue involving the speakers, motherboard, or connectors and wires, could be the cause. You should take it to a local technician or repair center for an accurate diagnosis.
