Sorry no-one has got back to you sooner, you might find this forum better for anything to do with linux

as it deals with a huge range of different versions of linux but is dedicated to linux support.
To fix this you are either going to need the Vista Cd and run repair mode to "fix" your MBR or else you need to install some other version of linux. I would recommend Wolvix Hunter 1.1.0 for this because it's reasonably small to download (450Mb) it makes a great cd that works well on most machines as it has good hardware detection but most crucially it's pretty easy to install and fast to boot :))
