Hello dear friends,
  i m new user in linux ubuntu, & i have trobble to play a song in ubuntu.
i cn't update plugins for this moviplayer due to some problem,
 so anyone tell me how to play a song by other player? or some another way.

To quickly sort out all your multimedia in ubuntu please follow all the steps in this guide

you might have to go with non-free to start with which should be free as long as you are not in the USA but it's worth going completely OpenSource as soon as you feel ready in case someone does try to charge you for using their codecs (if they do make sure their claim is legit)
