(wired con)router online,computer can't conn

Greetings,
I bought the netgear DGN2000 yesterday and after spiting blood to set it up i managed to get it working the router is online and it can see the computer but the computer won't connect to the internet i seached in the router interface if the comp is blocked or something but i couldn't find anything,they are connected with ethernet cable.
any suggestions or tips would be really appreciated.
thanks in advance and i am sorry for my terrible english.
EDIT:i reseted the router and it worked fine it seems the first time i had a wrong option somewhere marked or something thanks for your time !

Hye

You will have to setup the connection on the router configuration

Open a browser type: https://www.netgear.com/home/services/routerlogincom.html

Username: admin

Password: password

Then locate the connection setup!

You will need the username and password which your internet provider gave to to get access to the internet!

Then save your settings

You will then be able to connect to the internet
