CAN NOT BURN CD-R's, BUT CAN BURN CD-RW

Hello,

My computer will not recognise Sony CD-R 700mb discs or new Sony CD-RW 700mb discs. Tried many different discs. But...I can burn CD-RW that have been recorded on previously and erased. I have a 32 bit processor and the ISO is up to date.

I HAVE SPENT HOURS TRYING TO BURN MUSIC FROM WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER TO CD - PHILLIPS CD - R 700 WITHOUT SUCCESS
TRIED NERO - -ALL SAYS CD NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MY WINDOWS PLAYER OR DISC IS NOT RECOGNIZED

Hey there,

Does it recognize other CD brands?

I will advise you to change drive if you are having problems
