One power cable

Hello, i have a compaq deskpro and the problem is that the power supply has only one cable going to the harddisk and there is no power cable available for the CD ROM (Well actually the computer does not have a CD ROM when it was bought) it only has floppy. How can i boot from the disk and also i tried to boot from the USB but it couldnt.

what model is your compaq?

you can get power doublers so you can make one plug power 2 peripherals.

you have to change boot priority in bios if you want to boot from cd.
not all computers can boot from usb

if you press f9 on boot up, it may give you a boot screen in which to choose boot method. (one time only, reverts back to bios boot order next boot)
