Macros code wanted

Hello,
i have a excel sheet with columns like names and dates... i need to find the total number of jobs done in each date.. below each date 'X' is given corresponding to the names if the job is done.. to be very particular i need to calculate the number of 'X' under each date.. do help me out in the macros code for this issue...
