Kaspersky 2010 wont install

Hello,

kis 2010 just wont install its get to the copying files and registry things and just stops and quits itself and doesnt even get to the part where i can input my code thingy on my cd case, it just stops and closes away! i also had kis 2009 and uninstalled it to add 2010. my other computer with vista was fine but this one is the more important one because its the one that actually has the virus i need to get rid of.

Dear Ray,

Consider checking if it is a genuine copy that you are trying to

install. Yet there might be some missing essential system files.

it should be genuine since i bought it at best buy

it installed fine on my other vista computer

I just went through the same problem.
In the end I removed all the kaspersky stuff using windows uninstall programme and then reinstalled. This seemed to cure it. I think it might have been the old free trial files that were snagging it.
Good luck. its so annoying isn't it.
