Vista issues

Hello,
I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 with Vista Home Edition 32-bit. I'm having some major issues. I keep getting the blue screen of death and can at thispoint only run it in safe mode. My anti-virus subscription ran out and I removed it and put in a free one (CA) which was not working. I removed it and tried to install Avast in safe mode and I get an installation error. Is this a virus issue or is there something else possibly going on. I can't reboot in normal mode, computer won't go there.

Dear Sir,

You will have to identify where the problem is coming from. This will be essential for fixing it up. Please get to

the Control Panel, then to Problems Report and Solutions and view the problem history and hence indicate what

the problem is in order for us to give you a proper solution.
