Need computer name

Hello,
I have been told by some that a "remote name" and an "ip address" are the same thing and others have said they are different. I have an email header with the "remote name" and I am trying to find out how to locate the ip address and also the name or owner of the ip address. I need this soooo bad. Thank you

I know mine. I have been getting emails from anonymous with email name: unknown@yahoo.com. I pulled up the email header and found "remote name". Now I am trying to find out the ip address and who it is assigned to by using the "remote name" from email header. Do you have any ideas? Thanks so much
