Microsoft update

Hello, i've recently formated my computer, and now i can't open neither all the website related to microsoft, nor the msn, and i can't update my window explorer (to explorer 8), can anyone suggest a tip to solve this problem?!

Please consider using another browser to see whether you have

the possibility to get access to the particular sites.
