All I can quickly think is this: try changing the language configuration of your machine... there's this button that shows you the selected language (I think you'd be able to see it to the up-right of your screen). Sometimes Windows changes it automatically (maybe to another English keyboard configuration).
I hope it helps... I'm no expert, but it has happened to me before, and that's how I got to get it off.
