1. Open your web browser.
2. Type http://192.168.1.1
3. Enter.
4. In the page that opens, you will be asked for user name and password.
5. Give both user name and password as"admin"
6. You will get to the Nokia Siemens Router page.
7.In the left menu, click on "wireless".
8. In the new page again on the left menu click on "security"
9. In the Network Authentication select "Open"
10. In WEP Encryption select "Enabled
11. In Encryption strength select 128 bit or 64 bit
If you select you have to select a combination of 0 and 1(ASII characters) for example 0000000011111 or numbers 1 to 9 making up 26 digits. For 64 bit 5 ASCII characters or 10 hexadecimal digits (numbers 1 to 9)
11. Now in current Network key select "1"
12. In the space Network key 1 write a number I described above according to whether you selected 128 or
64 bit
13. Click SAVE/APPLY.
14. Now try to connect the laptop and when it asks for the key give the above key. You will get connected.

I have tried all above given tips. still it cause problem Fifi has get connected but it show"Limited access" & explorer cant open any page. how I can resolve this problem ?
hi actually I have tried according to instructions .. but it shows that ur comp. settings does not match to modem.

just call the BSNL engineer He will change the settings of your computer in 5 minutes. He will not charge for repair.

I have a completely reverse problem to this... I have the same router(Nokia siemens 1600), my wireless connection is working perfectly in the laptop, but not the wired one in my desktop having XP2 (in fact, both wired and wireless work in my laptop having windows 7). I cant even access 192.168.1.1 on my PC. I didnt got any driver CD or manual with the router. The guy who came configured it in my laptop, and said no special settings will be required to run it in PC. And now, I have called him a thousand times, he says I'll come this day, I'll come that day(not unexpected though, thats BSNL). Can anyone please Help me????
hi brother wht else u can expect from bsnl ones. check whether ur computer ping on routerid. go to start option and click run and type cmd. window open then type in command prompt -ping 192.168.1.1 if your computer respond than ur ip address is correct othervise throw they had changedur ip adress. try to reset it using button.

first you make the network between the two computer through your router and make sure the network is working properly. after that set up your router to bridging . and make a new connection on your computer. open the properties of your connection and under advanced tab select allow other network user to connect through this computer. now when you connect to internet other network users may also connect through your computer.
hello sir I am rajeev I ask the one please tell me how to connect the one pc other pc through nokia simens router . I know one pc connecting the bridge connections . but how connect other pc .
right click on wifi connection name.it will open a pop up window then right click on the proprties.under this section enter same settings,which you have entered in the modem config page.
