I pod 8GB downloads from store

Hello,
I downloaded videos from the i store. The downloads have been completed, but they don't show up on my i pod. What am I NOT doing in order to ransfer them to my i pod?

Please check whether the specific files are in the proper format

for playing on it.

Thanks, but how do you do that? And if they are wrong, how can I change them?
