Computer won't do anything

Hello,
My dad's laptop has a virus, he bought a virus protection, but it won't let me do anything on his computer to erase the virus so i can load the protection. I've tried F12 and it won't do anything everytime i try to open anything it just pops up that there is a virus. How do I get rid of it?

maybe U got spyware on ur computer .
use DSL Spyware Vaccine to help u deal with this problem..
