Hello,
I just bought 2 seperate one gig DDR2 PC2-5300 for my RAM, well my computer is only reading the one in the second RAM drive i tried taking the second one out to see if the first one was working and the computer wouldnt even boot up. I no its not the RAM cards themselves because ive tried them in different computers and they work fine.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

You may have a dead memory slot. Consider replacing your motherboard.
Im disputing on whether it would be more cheaper just buying a whole new tower in general, but before i do that anyway to tell if it is a sure fire dead drive.

Before you do all of that, I have two computers I built and two dells. I have figured out that my older dell computers will only accept one sided RAM modules. (small chips on one side)
