HP Pavillion dv6000 problems

Hello,
I have an HP Pavillion dv6000 laptop, which i recently downgraded to XP professionel, i can't seen to get my sound to work and i can't connect to the internet with my adsl cable, i have downloaded every single driver on HP's website, but still can't get this right. The other thing is, when i put my VMClite moden into the usb port i can connect to the internet, but not with the cable.

Please help

Dear Botes,

Your sound driver is no more compatible to the system and hence you will have to get updated in order to get sound again.

Goodday, thank you for the advise, since iam very new with this, how do i get this update.

The problem with my internet connection seems to be my laptop's modem, how do i fix this
