Can i have both os's

Hello,
i am chinni, i have a lenovo g550 laptop, i have windows 7 os in it already,
now i want install linux also,now the problem is if i am trying to installing either of it then i am losting another one.plz give me a solution. how can i overcome this problem? i need both o.s s.
