Help me Please!!!!!

Look i brought a 1st gen 2gb ipod off my sister and was working all good But it wont connect to my laptop when i plug it says some thing about one of the usb devices has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it. It will charge and all but i cant put songs on it i have the latest version of itunes 9.0 and when i click on the little bubble that pops up it comes up with some usb things and one of them is my ipod but it comes up as unknown device and when i click on it in the device status it says no drivers are installed for this device.

Need help a.s.a.p

Na that wont work because windows and itunes wont reconize my ipod thats the main problem it wont even show up in my computer and i dont know what to do. Any other ideas??
