Compaq 5000 sound doesn't work

Hello,
i recently had a replacement hard drive installed on my compaq 5000 pc. now the sound doesn't work! looking through the various areas it should be fine - no errors are listed. i think everything is plugged in correctly too.
do i need to take it back to the shop or is there an easy fix? help appreciated...

there is many cause for this, sound is instal or not look on device nanager( r mousclick on my computer then click on property, . look on speaker if sign is yellow keep bord cd an click r. mouse and up date driver) some time driver automatic goes. 2/ go on contorol panel ad check speaker setting is not in disable mode correct it. thank it help u
