Hello,

Every time i start Microsoft Word 2007, there will always be another file appearing with the name change and added this sign * ~$ *

Eg, The file name originally was * TOTAL BIG LIST OF THINGS *

after i open Microsoft word, another file appear with the name * ~$TAL BIG LIST OF THINGS *

When I try to open this file,

There will be another window saying :

" The Office open XML file ~$TALLY BIG LIST OF THING.docx cann't be opened because there are problems with the content*

any idea bout this?

Many thanks in advance!

The tilde (~) is the temporary copy of the file you have open. when you close word, that file should disappear. when you open a file, a temporary copy is created for the duration.

it's fine. not a virus. and you never need to use it.
